LOCAL charity is now working as part of £10.6 million project to help upskill people in Cheshire and Warrington furthest away from the labour market.
Transformation for Veterans (T4V) is specifically targeting veterans and their families by getting them back into the workplace.
Joe O’Connor, Founder and CEO of T4V, said, “I’m pleased Transformation for Veterans has been involved with this project from the start and I know this can make a massive difference to the lives of veterans and their families in our community.
“It is therefore important that we spread the word as effectively as possible to ensure all those who can benefit from this program are aware of its existence and get involved now.”
Project ‘New Leaf’ will help support around 3,000 people in the local area over a three year period.
The funding, secured by Golden Gates Housing Trust, is through the Building Better Opportunities programme, a key part of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) European Funding Programme.
The scheme sees the Big Lottery Fund matching funds from European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020, to provide joint investment in local projects that tackle poverty and promote social inclusion.
