Your wedding day is a monumental life-changing event and it’s perfectly normal, we all do it, feel the pressure and anxiety growing about your big day. Well, we have devised the best tips to keep you cool, calm and collected on your special day:
Start your day relaxed
After a night of presumably some of the worst sleep ever, begin the day with a relaxing yoga or meditation session followed by a nice hot bubble bath. The endorphins from the yoga/meditation will ease your mind and the bath will just completely relax your body.
Have a good breakfast
The last thing you probably want to do is eat anything, nerves will prevent you feeling hungry but give you more of a nauseas feeling. Eating a good-sized, healthy breakfast will help beat this nauseas feeling and will calm your stomach immensely. Side Tip: Chilled foods are proven as an antiemetic cure, so pile up on that fresh fruit.
Prepare for everything
Your mind will already be going a million miles per hour but definitely consider for every eventuality. If Auntie Geraldine doesn’t get along with cousin Pete, make sure they aren’t seated on the same table, planning everything to the finest detail will iron out any potentially issues and your mind can rest assure on the big day.
Take an emergency kit
Now this emergency kit is probably best to be kept with one of your bridesmaids but this is definitely a must have at your wedding. As the last tip states, be prepared, this kit will literally be there for any issues. The kit should have things like: extra underwear, tampons, hair pins, hairbrush, toothpaste, toothbrush, clothes stain remover, painkillers, make up remover, q-tips, gum, extra make up and of course the trusty sick bag.
Do the important tasks yourself
On your big day you will have copious amounts of people there to help you with little tasks and odd jobs, you will be grateful for all their help but make sure you run all the important errands yourself. If you want something done right, do it yourself? If you know all the important tasks are done and by yourself, your nerves will ease and you will feel cool, calm and collected.
By sticking to these golden rules, your day will run anxiety free and that means you can spend the time enjoying your beautiful wedding day.
