ENGLAND FOOTBALL LEGEND Paul Gascoigne was forced to pull out of stage talk in Warrington due to ongoing mental health problems.
The former Tottenham, Rangers and Newcastle midfielder has had ongoing issues with alcoholism and depression and it is believed that he will not be making any public appearances for the foreseeable future.
The announcement was made on the 14th March, 11 days before the talk was due to take place at Parr Hall, Warrington, by the promotion company, HC Promotions.
They released a statement on their website which said, “It is with great disappointment and sadness that after speaking to Paul Gascoigne’s representatives and all parties involved with Paul’s welfare, HC Promotions Ltd have been advised that Paul currently and in the foreseeable future will not be in a fit and healthy manor to fulfil his appearance obligations.
Obviously this news has deeply saddened us all here as I’m sure it has the hundreds of fans that have purchased tickets to see and meet arguably England’s greatest ever footballer for our event on the 25th March 2017, Parr Hall, Warrington, but we have to put Paul’s health as our main priority.
We wish Paul all the support and help he needs in getting rid of his demons. Keep fighting Gazza.”
Those who purchased tickets for the event should contact firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone them on 07894448321, to organise a full refund.
