New Chester graduate starts career in MMA

A Chester history graduate is due to represent the university at MMA in Leeds this Saturday.

Justin Whittle has trained in MMA for around 4 years and has competed before, with a current record of 2-0-0 in all competitions.

Mr Whittle said “I feel good about the fight. There’s always a certain degree of nerves but that’s normal. Everything feels on point in training and that gives me confidence looking forwards.”

The winning fighter usually receives a medal or trophy, but Justin is focused on something else. “The reward for me is the validation of training and the work put in before the fight.”
