Christmas in Chester

c1 img_1112 img_1116 img_1119This year’s Chester Christmas Market opened at 7 pm on Thursday November 17. The lights switched on for the first time illuminating the streets of Chester.

Santa did not seem to make an appearance in his slay but rather gladly let his elves take his place as they were pulled around with his classic Land Rover. Mulled wine followed by pulled pork and beer became the main beverages and menu of the evening. With queues from the cash points, Chester’s roads were crowded making it hard for people to wander. This did not stop the numerous pets pulling on their leash finding their way across to the food stalls with their mini Christmas jumpers. Each chalet surrounding the Christmas tree next to the town hall sells a range of foods from both local and outside of Cheshire followed by clothes to keep those hands and feet warm. They are open seven days a week from 10 am to 6 pm and will close on Sunday December 18. A second Christmas tree was placed at the Chester Town hall and has stopped every shopper passing by to capture its exquisiteness with their camera.

The Chester Zoo is now ready to fulfill children’s dreams with their new lanterns, Santa’s story telling’s and festive feasts for the whole family.
