Choir for the deaf

On the 21st of November at the centre for the Deaf, Chester was given the opportunity to see a “Choir for the Deaf”. The dee sign choir used British sign language to accompany the music and to display a range of emotions through movement, facial gestures, and metaphor.

The song choices came from the research of Dr. Libby Damjanovic into metaphors and emotion.

The event was free to the public as part of 2016 ‘Being human’ festival and partially set up by the University of Chester with the vice-chancellor of the university in attendance.
